Stephen Smith, P.E., Vice President
Stephen Smith’s depth of engineering experience over more than 10 years includes construction project management, contract administration, construction engineering and scheduling, project controls, QA/QC, contract change management, dispute resolution, asset maintenance operations management, and planning for complex heavy civil and mass transit projects. His expertise includes projects in commuter and light rail, public transportation infrastructure. He currently serves as Construction Contract Administrator during construction of the DART Light Rail Green Line Build-out.
He served as Project Manager for the North Texas Tollway Authority, President George Bush Turnpike and as Resident Engineer for DART’s Light Rail Green Line Build-out. Smith has succeeded with numerous assignments with DART including the Service and Inspection Facility Expansion, Phase 2; the Northwest Corridor Line Section NW-1A; the Northeast Corridor Line Section G-1 and G-3; the DART President George Bush Turnpike Station, and the South Oak Cliff Bus Operating Facility, LNG Fueling Facility. He also worked on the Trinity Railway Express, Elm Fork of the Trinity River Bridge as a Construction Manager.
Stephen is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and has a BS in Civil Engineering from Leigh University, and is a member of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association and Team TX.
